Sweetwater Ranch in Ellensburg, Washington was the absolute dream setting for Naya and Justin’s wedding! Rustic charm, open fields, and lovely tall trees—it had everything a photographer could dream of. Getting to photograph Naya and Justin's wedding felt extra special because I’ve actually known Naya for years! I took her senior photos back in the day, so being trusted to capture her wedding felt like such a full-circle moment.

Cool Car + Barn Vibes = Magic

The day kicked off with such a fun surprise—this gorgeous car parked right outside the barn (I know nothing about cars but even I could tell you it was cool)! It was a photographers dream! We were able to get stunning couple photos and bridal party photos with it. If you have a cool car or know someone with a cool car (have I overused the word cool yet?) I ten out of ten recommend you use it for photos at your wedding.

The Dress of Dreams

Naya’s dress. Wow. It was whimsical, romantic, and so her. It floated and twirled in all the right ways and had the prettiest little details. She paired it with just the right accessories—light, airy, and sparkly. AND HER VEIL. My goodness, I was shook. Let me tell you, those long veils are another one of those photographers dreams I keep mentioning. If I went back in time I would have totally worn a long veil at my wedding. Unfortunately, they haven't invented time machines yet, le sigh. Seeing Naya in that gown and veil felt like watching a fairytale unfold. I couldn’t stop smiling behind my camera!

A Ceremony Full of Love and Jesus

Naya and Justin exchanged vows outside, surrounded by their closest people, and it was just beautiful. One of the most touching parts was the foot washing ceremony between the couple—such a tender, symbolic way to commit to serving and loving each other as Christ served and loved us. You could feel the emotion in the air and the beautiful presence of God! Their vows to each other were sweet with Justin tearing up the entire time. (I'm always for a good cry from the groom, that's another thing we photographers love!).

Let’s Get This Party Started

Once the "I do’s" were done, it was time to eat, do some toasts (Naya's little brother did a HILARIOUS toast for her), cut the cake, and dance. Let me tell you their people showed up ready to celebrate! The barn was glowing, the music was bumpin’, (do people say bumpin anymore? Help me Gen Z I'm a Millennial!) and the dance floor was full all night long. From goofy dance moves to tender parent dances, the energy was joyful, relaxed, and FUN! I caught myself dancing a little behind the camera more than once cuz' your girl likes to bust a move herself.

My Favorite Part? The In-Betweens

As a photographer, the best moments are usually the unscripted ones. The little glances, the big belly laughs, the quiet tears during a toast. Naya and Justin’s day was filled with those moments, and it was such an honor to document every single one. These are the kind of photos that become family heirlooms—the ones that take you right back to how it felt.

A Day to Remember

Naya and Justin’s wedding wasn’t just gorgeous—it was so full of love. Naya was the sweetest bride and truly radiated joy. It was a day I won’t forget anytime soon.
