Leah & Anthony’s Wedding Day
A high school love story with equal parts calm and chaos (the good kind)
If you know Leah and Anthony, you know this already—these two balance each other perfectly. High school sweethearts who grew up together, grew through life together, and now finally said I do. Leah is quiet, thoughtful, and steady. Anthony is outgoing, joyful, and never afraid to be the loudest one in the room. Somehow, it just works.
Their wedding day felt exactly like them from start to finish.
Getting Ready
The morning started slow and sweet on Leah’s side. Lots of soft smiles, quiet excitement, and bridesmaids who were absolutely locked in emotionally. There were tears early, deep breaths, and those calm moments that feel heavy in the best way since something so meaningful was about to happen.
Anthony’s getting-ready room was a very different vibe (but still great!). The groomsmen brought nonstop jokes and laughter. The energy was high and the vibes were fun. My second shooter (aka my husband) told me that they were his favorite group of groomsmen he's worked with because they were so funny!
First Looks With Dad & Groom
Leah’s first look with her dad was tender and emotional. The kind of moment that instantly quiets the room. Big hugs, tears, and that look parents get when they’re so proud it almost hurts. First looks with dad's are seriously underrated and highly recommended.
Then came Leah and Anthony’s first look.....and Anthony’s reaction said everything! He was completely in awe of his stunning bride. Leah smiling softly as Anthony took it all in. It was such a perfect picture of who they are together!
Bridal Party Photos
Bridal party photos were exactly what you’d expect from this sweet couple. The groomsmen were hilarious and fully committed to being funny. The bridesmaids were beautiful, supportive, and clearly very invested in Leah’s happiness. It made for the best mix of laughter and heart.
Couple Photos
Couple photos felt easy and natural with Leah and Anthony. They truly made my job easy with their chemistry and beauty. There was no forcing anything, just two people who are incredibly comfortable together. Quiet moments, shared laughs, and a sacred moment of doing communion together made it even more special. Their love for one another and for the Lord was evident. It was so fun for me to not only be able to witness this but also to capture it on camera. I still pinch myself that I get to do this!
The Ceremony
The ceremony was heartfelt and emotional, honoring both their faith in God and their love for one another.
Anthony was beaming the entire time. You could feel how present he was, soaking in every moment. Leah had tears filling her eyes as she looked at Anthony with eyes of adoration (I know that sounds cheesey but that's really what happened, look at photos for reference). Their vows were sincere, full of love, and a beautiful reflection of a relationship that’s been years in the making.
A special moment caught on camera was Leah's father tearing up as Leah and Anthony said their "I do's". There's something so precious about seeing a kind, loving, father trust another man with his baby girl. It brought tears to my eyes as well!
Signing the Marriage License
Signing the marriage license always gives the bride and groom a little time to take a deep breath after the ceremony. Leah and Anthony snuck in some sweet cuddles during this time and also grabbed some photos with their officiant who was a family friend.
Taking Family Photos
Family photos were full of hugs, laughter, and that sweet feeling of two families officially becoming one. There was so much love surrounding Leah and Anthony, it was impossible not to feel it. I love seeing multiple generations from different families coming together. It's truly a special thing!
The Reception
The reception kicked off with emotional speeches (more tears) and quickly turned into a full-on celebration. The bride's father sang for the couple's first dance (and let me tell you, he can SING!) and the bride and groom both shared dances with their father and mother respectively.
The couple was in their element on the dance floor, bringing the energy and pulling everyone into the fun. Anthony even put some money in his mouth during the dollar dance! My germaphobic side was panicking a little but hey....to each their own! You could tell that both Anthony and Leah we having a blast with their closest friends and family.
From quiet, emotional moments to loud laughter and dancing, Leah and Anthony’s wedding day was a perfect reflection of who they are. Different in the best ways, deeply connected, and so clearly meant for each other!
